Dr. Chibuzor Emereole is a graduate of the Imo State University, Owerri, where he bagged a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree in 2005. Following graduation, he pursued a career in clinical optometry for eleven years where he left his mark in clinical practice, supervision, and practice setups, before joining Venus Medicare in 2016. Before his sojourn into the health insurance industry, Dr. Chibuzor Emereole lectured at the Department of Optometry, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences of the Imo State University, Owerri, during which, he also acquired a Master in Public Health (MPH) in the same institution. Dr. Chibuzor’s advancements can be characterized by his ability to be a master strategist and a goal-getter with a solution-oriented mindset. He also holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in the speciality of finance and investments, as well as Diploma certifications for Basics of project management, Change management, Risk Management, and Leadership and team development, from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI) – Germany. He also holds other certifications in healthcare business support systems and health financing Policy.
On joining the ebullient Venus Medicare team of professionals in 2016, he has contributed in no small measure to ensuring the organizations’ set objectives are actualized by employing his computational and analytical expertise, astute leadership, organizational and collaborative skills in navigating through the torrents of the industry’s challenges and participation in developing working policies and system integrations that sets the company aside from its peers. In his role as the head of the Underwriting unit he leads the team that continues to provide the company with the most updated actuarial approaches to more accurately adapt to the evolving customer needs and expectations while significantly reducing cost as well as employing innovative technological solutions for the efficient delivery of quality services.
Dr. Emereole is a member of the Nigerian Optometric Association, a volunteer member of the Unite for Sight Foundation - USA, and the Pink Breath Cancer Foundation – Nigeria, and a passionate advocate for the actualization of the Universal Health Coverage objective of the Sustainable development goal 3 of the World Health Organization.
